Kurt Vonnegut on the State of the Nation
On a fly fishing bulleting board last night, a fellow angler posted a link to these troubling and provocative musings of Vonnegut . A clear eyed and compassionate take on the condition of these United States. One point I especially like: why is it that America's über-Christians insist on displaying the ten commandments in public, but not the beattitudes?
