Memorial Day was a labor day

Did I say I was going to write a book review last weekend? I didn't even have time to come here, let alone post.

Spent a lot of time working around the house and the yard. Yesterday I used a chainsaw for the first time and suffered no blood loss whatsoever. Took down a bunch of nuisance trees, the remains of which (at least the parts not suitable for firewood or landscaping) are now stacked in my yard awaiting disposal. Figuring how to to dispose of them is going to be the major task today.

If things had gone according to plan, I'd be in camp now getting ready for a float on the Au Sable. But I have a lot to take care of before Kristine and I leave on a trip next week, so the trout will have to wait. I will try to get out to a local lake tomorrow to harvest a few bluegill. And hopefully I will also come home with something to write about.
