Friends--
As I begin the new year, I'm going to be taking a break from blogging for a while. I'm not tired of it in the least--if anything, I wish I had more time to devote to it so that I could make this site into something more consequential than it's been. But blogging in anything more than a half-assed way is a time suck, and I need very much to put time in elsewhere in the months ahead. Mainly, I need to do some un-blogly writing. So I'm going to be silent here for a while, probably until about May Day, give or take a few days. That date coincides closely with the opening of the new trout season (4/28), so when I do return, I should have stories and photos of the opening weekend trip--and I'm planning a doozy, a four-day trout orgy that will trace fifty-odd miles of the Au Sable river system.
Thanks to all who have taken time to visit and comment here. I'm sure I'll be visiting the blogs some of you keep. I hope the winter treats you well, and that I'll see you again come spring.
