
Hate to interrupt the gripping narrative of my plunge into the realm of the unexplained, but I just got a reminder that the Lake Superior State fish cam is now in place in the St. Mary's river, monitoring summer fish runs. See for yourself
There is a feature at the site allowing you to snap stills of the fish (which I used for the images here), though there seems to be a bit of delay between the click and the capture. The photo you get isn't always the one you thought you took.
I was surprised at how many fish had lamphreys on them, like this guy:

I wouldn't have guessed the problem was that widespread.
