Down with Fish

Stumbled across Down for Repairs, a blog by a fellow Michigander (from the westside...lucky son of a bass) with a great regular feature...Fish Story Fridays. It's just what it says. The stories are compiled here. He invites others to do likewise on their blogs, and I may try to do that. Do I smell a new carnival in the making???

On Friday, I noticed that our daffodils were poking through the mulch under the pear tree outside my office. A bit more ominously, I saw bags of topsoil and mulch stacked outside the local grocery store. Not that I have anything against those items( I expect to buy a good bit of both soon), but they are a reminder that my lawnmower will soon be a close companion once again.

Spring has its compensations though. On the Thursday after next, I'll be heading to Baldwin to chase steelhead on the Pere Marquette for a couple days. I'm in for a couple of anxiousand distracted weeks of weather watching, tackle cleaning, and rainbow daydreams. I promise not to natter about it here too much.
